The Samsung Exynos 2200 SoC is expected to power the upcoming flagship Galaxy S22 lineup in certain markets since some regions like the US get a Snapdragon version.
Samsung Exynos 2200 specifications
The Samsung Exynos 2200 is built on a 4nm fabrication process. It has a three-cluster design comprising a Cortex X2 flagship core, three Cortex-A710 performance cores and four Cortex-A510 efficient cores. The Exynos 2200 is equipped with a GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture with support for features like ray tracing, variable-rate shading that is found on PCs, laptops, and gaming consoles. The Exynos 2200 comes with a 3GPP Release 16 5G modem with support for sub-6GHz and mmWave bands and speeds up to 10Gbps. The chipset also features an Integrated Secure Element (ISE) to store cryptographic keys.
The ISP is said to support up to a 200MP camera sensor and up to 8K video recording at 60fps. The chipset also supports a 2K HDR10+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate or a 4K display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Exynos 2200 will feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage technology.
